• Question: What metal is most common inside a meteor?

      I have never even thought about this!
      Most meteorites (95%) are made up of the metals iron-nickel (FeNi).
      Around 4 – 30% is nickel the rest is iron and there are tiny amounts of some other elements cobalt (Co).
      Some meteorites have been found to have gold (Au), platinum (Pt) and iridium (In).
