• Question: what are the ingredients in bread and do they have bacteria in them if yes why?

      There is not normally bacteria added to bread on purpose, but there is normally yeast added.
      Bread normally has the following;
      Flour, salt, sugar, butter, warm water and yeast.

      Yeast are one cell organisms, which belong to the fungi group. They work by eating the sugar added and giving off carbon dioxide and alcohol, which causes the bread to rise.Warm water is needed to “activate” the yeast, kind of like waking it up so that it will work!
