I find it hard to be a scientist, but I really enjoy it at the same time.
It challenges me, but there is never a dull day and I am always thinking.
There is a lot that needs to be learnt but if you find something you enjoy it is all worth it.

Good question! We’re all scientists really; we ask questions of the world around us and try to find out the answers, especially when we’re younger. That’s fun and exciting and it feels natural to be a scientist.

However, being a PhD student is hard at times when you get stuck on a problem and you can’t figure it out, no matter how hard you try. Sometimes experiments take a long time and that can be annoying. Doing different things everyday and always making some progress definitely makes things feel easier though!
