I haven’t been enjoying science all my life, but for most of it I have! When I was much younger I was more interested in languages and English than I was science, but one day it just clicked and I fell in love with it ever since 🙂 It just shows you how quickly you can change your mind about things.

I really enjoyed learning how everything worked when I was younger, but soon you realise that things are more complex than we’re told during school! This annoyed me, that things weren’t certain, but now I’m able to work towards the answers in my research, I really enjoy it again!

Yes, I have been, in fact. Well, at least as far back as I can remember. Sometimes I was more or less interested in some of the different topics in science, but I always had some favourite topics, which I could read about on my own.

I was mostly from around age 8, I was super interested in space science and was really keen on becoming an astronaut. I still am! The reason I didn’t choose it as my main career is that I realised at age 11 that not many people actually become astronauts these days. I also became really interested, at the same time, in life science. My Biology teacher at age 11 was a really cool person who had two iguanas that roamed around in the classroom and would incubate their eggs to help them hatch babies. We learned all about the cell and made models of cells, looked at microscope slides and had random mind quizzes. I loved that class and it felt like a breath of fresh air to me. (Probably because there were some plants in there too!)

I went on to learn chemistry and physics, both of which I really liked, but I LOVED biology. That’s why I chose it.

Side note: I also have also loved History, English Literature, Social Science and Philosophy. Wanted to be a philosopher/writier at some point too!
