I don’t know much about maths, so I won’t say that I like tau in the maths sense of the word!

But did you know that there’s a protein that’s made inside our brains called tau as well? People who have Alzheimer’s disease often have lots of tau proteins that stick together in large clumps inside our cells which can cause the disease. For you and I, tau works quite normally to help our brain cells work.

Tau, the greek letter? It’s cool I guess? It’s also the name of a protein that is really important for keeping the inside of cells intact. If it goes wrong, there is risk of getting brain disease such as Alzheimer’s. I like a good, proper tau.

      🙂
