      Theoretically – yes! We know what certain parts of the brain are used for, emotions, decision making etc. and we can see when they’re active. So we could take a rough guess at what they are thinking about, or maybe what they are feeling through scanning their brains and looking at where the blood is going (what areas are active). This is called functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), what a mouthful!
