      Hi Elena366

      Yes underwater experiments are the best way of doing science, as it is the most realistic experiment. Most of us cannot do it at sea, this is because the conditions can be quite hard to work in, and we cannot always control how are experiment will go- as the sea is quite unpredictable! So to get around this, we collect the species we want to study from the sea and then take them back to the lab, where we recreate the conditions of the ocean. This then becomes our experiment 🙂
