This is a super question! I am actually asking myself this question very often.

This is a serious topic that computer scientists, philosophers, and futurists are tackling. According to some scientists such as Marvyn Minksy and Ray Kurzweil, robots or ‘machines’ will be more capable than normal humans.

They postulate that as technology becomes increasingly advanced, we humans will be more and more dependent on the many benefits it gives us.
Take how we are addicted to our computers and phones for an example! These scientists and many more do believe that humans will begin to ‘incorporate’ newer and smaller computers and robotics on and within their bodies. In essence, they think we will merge with machines and become biological-machine hybrids. It remains to be seen if such predictions will become true. ‘Wearable computers’ are already becoming the norm.

It is true that the at the current rate of computer advancement, we should see the rise off super-intelligent computers that will be smarter than humans, eventually. Conservative estimates tell us that these super-computers will become commonplace in the next 20 to 30 years.

As to what will happen in the coming 100s of years, who knows!

The question is, will we use these super smart computers to solve all of our problems, or will we reject them?

I hope not, however there is more and more technology being used so there is a chance that we will all become so dependent on technology that in a way robots will take over!
