• Question: What will happen if a person gets a piece of metal in them? If they did, how would they get it in them?

      Hi Ginger,
      Some people have metal inside them put there by doctors!
      This is normally to help fix broken bones, but there are loads of tests carried out first to make sure the body will be okay with it first.
      If a person gets metal in them by accident, for example a nail, then there is a chance that it might get infected and the person becomes ill. So what doctors can do it pull is out and give them medicine to stop an infection. They might need an Xray to find out where the metal is, then they can take it out.
      I don’t fancy having metal in my body any time soon, it sounds painful 🙁
