• Question: What is the difference betwwen rocks and stones?

      I’m not really sure – good question! I’d say probably the only difference is how we use these words to describe things? I think stones are smaller than rocks, but both can be made of the same things.

      Rocks (called boulders), stones and sand are all made up of the same material. The only difference is that over time the rocks and been worn down smaller and smaller. There are size guides which are used to tell if it rock, stone or sand!
