      Hi Meylie,

      I’m not sure what you mean by this question. The general structure (how it bonds together) of DNA is the same, but different people have different DNA sequences, called our genomes! Yours will be similar to your family, but different to somebody from Asia. Everybody’s genome is a result of their parents genome being mixed up (crossed) and then you get some of each.

      There’s a lot more to it than I’ve explained, but it’s an important process so that we don’t all end up with exactly the same genome. That would be bad, because if a disease came along that could kill us easily, we’d all be affected and nobody would survive. Mixing the genome up means we are all different and the human species is much better at surviving!
